Irresisibly Floral Brayered Background

I have a confession...I am currently a little bit in love (aka obsessed) with the Sponge Brayers. I have always found brayered backgrounds beautiful but they involved a LOT of effort (and arm muscles!). With the sponge brayers, you can create fabulous backgrounds really quickly and easily (and cheaply - the brayer comes with 2 handles and 4 sponges for only $14). I used the Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper to make my background on. The colours I've used are Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay and Mint Macaron.
But while I was at it, I tried a few other colour combos too:

I'll be making these ones into cards soon...stay tuned!

Paisleys and Posies Blues

I make a lot of these mini note cards to send out with orders. You can get 3 from an A4 sheet (by cutting at 9.9cm) so it's very economical. On this one I've used the Paisleys and Posies stamp set in Island Indigo, Night of Navy and Smoky Slate (with a splash of silver).
Do you like my new woodplank background? Thanks Kmart $4 placemats!!

Cookie Cutter Teddy

I love making baby cards...any excuse to make something cute!! I made this one just so I could use this cute teddy stamp. Now I'm going to need to make a pink version as my cousin just gave birth to a baby girl. Isn't it scary when you reach the stage in your life when someone you remember holding in your arms when they were a baby has a baby of their own?? Scary, but kind of great too!

I've used products on this card from the Holiday Catalogue, but as you can see, they extend way beyond just being suitable for Christmas. I've sponge-brayered Soft Sky ink over the Cable Knit embossing folder to make it stand out even more.
My colour combo is Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron and Soft Sky.

TIP: you can make a quick scalloped border using the badge punch! :)

Stylized Birthday in Emerald

I love a great birthday sentiment. The Stylised Birthday stamp is a great size, lovely font and suits any age or gender. It's on page 16 of the Annual Catalogue.
Here's a quick card I made using the Stylised Birthday stamp and Emerald Envy as my feature colour. It really pops with Whisper White and a splash of silver.

Star of Light Stamp-a-Stack

Here's the second set of cards we are making in class this week. I've gone for a very non-traditional Christmas colour scheme for these ones - Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, Smoky Slate and Whisper White.
How gorgeous are these stars? With the stamps and framelits, there's so many different ways to layer them. I just love the misty star trail too...I can see myself using it for other things too - dandelions, butterflies, fairies...the possibilities are endless!

Christmas Pines Stamp-a-Stack

It's Christmas Stamp-a-Stack classes this week, and we are playing with new Holiday Catalogue products! There are so many gorgeous stamp sets in the catalogue, that the hardest part was choosing which ones to use first. A quick game of Eeny Meeny Miney Mo soon settled that!
Christmas Pines it is, and a traditional colour combo of Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip (and a dash of gold).
I've also used the Cable Knit embossing folder for a bit of warmth and texture.
