Relax & Enjoy

Here is my third Floral Delight card. This time I only used the pretty background die from the Delightful Wishes Dies - another one that I hadn't used yet. I've used the "wishing" dies a lot, but I don't like the other ones in the set to feel neglected! This week was the time to remedy that situation!

The flowers have been cut out from the paper, and the only stamping on this card is the sentiment. The sentiment is actually a sneak peak from the new Annual Catalogue!

Floral Wishes

Once I'd used the floral dies in the Delightful Wishes dies set, I decided I'd better also use the floral stamps in the bundle. I've used the words a lot, but hadn't yet made a single flower. This week was the time to remedy that situation!

I took inspiration from one of the cards on page 37 of the Mini Catalogue. I didn't change much at all - I just used the Textured Notes dies to frame my image, and layered it on a piece of Floral Delight DSP in a Crumb Cake textured pattern. The sentiment is actually a sneak peak from the new Annual Catalogue!

You can see the other supplies I used listed below. I love the Floral & Gingham Vellum. It gives the card such a soft and pretty touch to the card. I've adhered it by spreading a then, even layer of multipurpose glue on the back.

Floral Note

When I was thinking about what products I wanted to play with, I realised I've neglected half of the dies in the Delightful Wishes set. I've used the "wishing" die a lot, but hadn't made a single flower. This week was the time to remedy that situation!

I took inspiration from one of the cards on page 33 of the Mini Catalogue, but changed it up quite a bit. I used different colours and went with a standard card size. The only stamping on this card is the sentiment - everything else is die cut. The sentiment is actually a sneak peak from the new Annual Catalogue!

Textured Notes Card Set

Here is my rustic and earthy set of Textured Notes cards. I couldn't resist ordering this bundle, which is part of the Online Exclusives offering in the Online Store. It's so quick and easy to create a collage-type effect with this set. I'll definitely be using it again - I want to try it in some different colours. And I'll definitely be using the Textured Notes Dies A LOT. They are so versatile, with rectangle dies in lots of different sizes, and lovely die-cut border designs. I've also used the Elements of Text stamp set, which has beautiful script backgrounds and ink splodge images. 

I haven't bought the co-ordinating Woven Textures DSP yet, but I wanted some texture for the background, so I pulled out some sheets of the Country Woods DSP and gave them even more texture using the Birch Wood 3D embossing folder. I also roughed up the edges a little.

I hope these Textured Notes cards have inspired you to get a little rustic too!

Seriously Textured

Here is my final Textured Notes card. I'm loving this bundle, which is part of the Online Exclusives offering in the Online Store. The co-ordinating Textured Notes Dies have awesome rectangle dies in lots of different sizes, with lovely die-cut border designs. I've used 2 of them on this card. I've also used the Elements of Text stamp set, which has beautiful script backgrounds and ink splodge images. 

In the background, I used the Country Woods DSP and gave them even more texture using the Birch Wood 3D embossing folder. I also roughed up the edges a little. The finishing touch is some twine for even more texture.
