Garden Walk Fancy Fold

Here is my final Fancy Fold card using Paula's design. This time I've flipped the design to Portrait orientation and used the new Garden Walk Designer Series Paper from the Mini Catalogue.

There's an A6 piece of acetate behind the front pieces to give it some stability. The Radiating Stitches Dies are perfect for this fold. Not much stamping is required either - just a sentiment (from Throughout the Year, a very handy set!). I also added a few Iridescent Pearls and a flower snipped from the paper for embellishment.

Happy Holidays Fancy Fold

Here is my second Fancy Fold card using Paula's design. This time I've made a Christmas card using the new Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper from the Mini Catalogue.

There's an A6 piece of acetate behind the front pieces to give it some stability. The Radiating Stitches Dies are perfect for this fold. Not much stamping is required either - just a sentiment (from Throughout the Year, a very handy set!). I also added a few Loose Holly Gems and Sequins for embellishment.

I'll be back next time with my third card, made with the same fold.

Bright and Beautiful Birthday

Today I have another Stamp Camp ShoeBox card to share with you all. This was designed by the lovely Paula. I love a Fancy Fold, but don't make them often. This one was nice and easy and doesn't require much extra cardstock either, which is a bonus. It also makes great use of the Bright and Beautiful 6x6 Designer Series Paper.

It was a tricky one to photograph....the card has an A6 piece of acetate behind the front pieces to give it some stability. The Radiating Stitches Dies are perfect for this fold. Not much stamping is required either - just a sentiment (from Throughout the Year, a very handy set!).

What is a Shoebox Swap, I hear you ask? All the ingredients for making a card are included in each box, including pre-cut cardstock. It's great to be able to sit down and make 10 cards without having to think/plan/design.

Above the Clouds Easel Card

I really enjoyed making this card! It combines a few of my favourite things - Seaside Spray, gingham and banners. Add a hot air balloon, some sparkly embossing paste and an Easel card and this is what you get:

All those banners have been punched with the Triple Banner Punch, from the In Color Designer Series Paper. And those raised, sparkly clouds just make you want to touch them! I decided on a
Grapefruit Grove hot air balloon, but added a Seaside Spray heart to tie it back in with the rest of the card. I decided to make this an Easel card. I popped the sentiment on the Pretty Label Punch, raised with Dimensionals so that it holds the easel in place.

Magnolia Easel Card

Whenever I want to make a card that is a little out-of-the-box, but doesn't require a whole lot of scoring or measuring, or a whole lot of extra cardstock, I make an Easel card. It's just one extra fold (fold the top layer in half and then attach the cardfront to that). You can see how it stands up here:

I've added a small stamped Magnolia to the inside, popped up on Dimensionals, and that holds the 'easel' up. I've coloured the large magnolia with my Blends (Petal Pink and Old Olive). The Co-ordinating Designer Series Paper and matching ribbon takes care of the rest!
