Owl be Thinking of You

I couldn't make a set of Animal Friends cards without using this adorable owl in his Santa hat, and the associated punny sentiment. I coloured him in, and cut him out using the dies, then I could pop him up with Dimensionals on to the large circle. I chose some fun patterns from the Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper for the background.

Beary Merry!

These 2 little guys look like they are most definitely Christmas Friends! I coloured them using Blends and gave the bear a fuzzy look by using the Color Lifter over the top of my Pecan Pie layer. 

I went with a plaid-on-plaid look in the background - Plaid patterned paper (from the Reindeer Days pack) AND the Forever Plaid embossing folder too. What do you think? Too much plaid?!

Christmas Moose

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! And this week I'll be sharing some cards that I made using the Christmas Friends bundle. To get started, I stamped, coloured and cut out all 4 animals. I used Blends, but you could use pencils, inks or anything you like. This moose on ice skates is looking pretty cool!

To add a bit of pattern and colour, I used a strip of this fun present pattern from the Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper. I scattered a few Peppermints for another fun element.

Bright & Beautiful Birds

Aren't these 2 birds on their branch so sweet? They are from the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper. I love this colour scheme too - Gray Granite, Pool Party and Cherry Cobbler. I used the Birch Wood embossing folder to add some texture to the background. It's part of the Nests of Winter Suite. I only added some subtle embellishment to this card - some Linen Thread and a few Iridescent Pearls (love these!)

Simple Season

If you're in need of a few quick Christmas cards, you might like to borrow this design. Simply grab a couple of pieces of your favourite Designer Series Paper - one for your focal image and another in the background. I love the sweet little birds in this Nests of Winter paper. I off-set the pieces on a bit of an angle.

I didn't want to cover up too much of the design, so I've chosen just a small greeting from the Peaceful Season stamp set. I embellished with some linen thread and a few Iridescent Pearls. So simple!
