Not Me!

I made this card for Keesh's Inspiration Challenge, and it didn't come out at all how I saw it in my head. It's not a very "me" card at all, and I can't say I like it much!! Ah well, we all have creations like that sometimes...
I've used "Eastern Blooms", and punched the flowers out with the 5-petal flower punch (isn't it cool that you can do that? It changes the shape of the flower, and you need to sponge the teeniest tip of the petals, but it sure beats cutting out 12 flowers!!). I layered 2 flowers on top of each other, and then a smaller one (which I did have to cut out!) on top of that.

Materials (all Stampin' Up!)
stamps: Weathered background, Occasional Greetings, Eastern Blooms
ink: Cameo Coral, Ruby Red, Tempting Turquoise, Taken with teal, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
cardstock: Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Old olive, Whisper White
other: 5-petal flower punch, Bali Breeze DS paper, sponge daubers, dimensionals

  1. Hi Marelle

Absolutely love your card for Keesh's challenge! What a brilliant idea about using the 5 petal punch to punch out the flowers - will have to keep that tip in mind!

  2. You've really used the colours well Marelle, but I can see what you are saying... I think the flowers are just too big for the size of the card and make it a little crowded. I really like the sponging effect on the tips and the layering of them anyway
